Over 80 people gathered in the Humanities Plaza last Thursday to engage in a walk-out coordinated by Cal State Fullerton’s chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine.

The walk-out was a part of the nationwide Shutdown for Palestine movement organized by the National SJP, who called upon students to join them in marches, demands for an immediate ceasefire and other forms of action. Academic Senate opposes new GE requirements

Transfer and freshmen students may soon see changes to their general education requirements starting Fall 2025.

Cal-GETC, the newly implemented GE pattern by the Intersegmental Committee of Academic Senates, will provide a single pathway for transfer students to be eligible for both CSUs and UCs when transfering.

Last Thursday, the Academic Senate voiced their opinions on the change, voting against the implementation of Cal-GETC.

A spooky camp of over 120 vendors, live music, food and drink and celebrity meet-and-greets haunted the paths of the Heritage Museum of Orange County in Santa Ana for Creep it Real OC, an annual Halloween festival, last weekend.

Victim Stabbed Near Beach Restrooms

SANTA MONICA—One individual was stabbed near beach restrooms located near the end of Bicknell Avenue on Monday, July 31.

Officers responded to a 911 call of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 2000 block of the beach at approximately 2:07 p.m., according to a statement by Santa Monica Police Department.

Upon arrival, the officers located the victim near the beach bathrooms “suffering from at least one stab wound to the chest.”
